Central Wyoming Therapy is a locally owned outpatient therapy clinic in Casper, Wyoming. We saw an opportunity to revitalize the quality of patient care. When we opened our doors in 2005 our goal was to offer quality patient care using the most ethical and personalized therapy and massage services.

Cheryl graduated from the University of North Dakota with her Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy in 2000, then re-entered college to obtain her Master’s in Occupational Therapy in 2008. In 2005 she opened Central Wyoming Therapy with a vision to provide professional and quality of care to patients. She has extensive training and experience working with clients from their head to their feet, including but not limited to headaches, neck, shoulders, hands, low back, hips and ankle issues. The clientele she sees can range from pre- to post-surgical and non-surgical diagnoses. Cheryl has over 15 years’ experience working with chronic pain, having been to education courses for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, she is able to apply this knowledge as well as other avenues of extensive training in teaching and assisting patients how to manage chronic pain. Cheryl is currently working on her certification in Trigger Point Dry Needling, which is a technique which can alleviate pain and eliminate trigger points in muscle fibers hence decreasing or diminishing pain. She has been to courses to learn techniques such as Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, joint mobilizations, strain-Counterstrain Techniques, Kinesiotaping, Aquatic Therapy, hand therapy, Trigger Point Dry Needling, among many other education courses to help patients to get better.
Christy has over 15 years of physical therapy experience, graduating from the University of North Dakota in 2000 with a Master of Physical Therapy. Although a Native of Wyoming, she has also practiced in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Nevada and California in a variety of settings, with the majority of her experience in Sports Medicine and Outpatient Orthopedics. She has had the opportunity to work closely with orthopedic surgeons with a variety of injuries and post-operative diagnoses, including advanced rehabilitation and return-to-sports. With a combination of excellent manual therapy skills and specified strength training, Christy works with her clients to meet their goals for returning to activity.
Mark brings over 20 years’ experience to Central Wyoming Therapy, graduating from the University of North Dakota in 1995 with his Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy. He brings a wide array of experience from working in outpatient settings to acute hospital rehabilitation centers to work hardening. Mark has extension training and experience in manual therapies, including joint mobilizations, Myofascial Release, Strain-Counterstrain, and muscle energy techniques of the cervical and thoracic spine and ribs. Mark’s areas of expertise include rehabilitation of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, chronic headaches, neck, thoracic spine and ribs. Mark also specializes in aquatic therapy and migraine/tension headaches.
Shirla is licensed by the State of Wyoming and Certified by the American Speech Language & Hearing Association. She has a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from Phillips University and over 40 years of experience working with pre-school and school age children. Areas of expertise include articulation & phonological disorders, verbal apraxia, delayed language, traumatic brain injury, and oral motor therapy.
Diane has been practicing in the field of speech-language pathology for over 40 years. She has experience in public schools, developmental centers, acute hospital, acute rehabilitation, home health, long term care and outpatient settings, working with all ages of clients. Her career began working with children in educational venues prior to entering medical speech-language pathology. She worked at Wyoming Medical Center (WMC) for 20 years. When she retired from WMC, she began doing private therapy and is treating children and adults on a part-time basis currently. She has many connections and established professional relations throughout Casper and the State of Wyoming.
Crystal obtained her massage therapy certificate from A2Z Health specializing in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage in 2007. Crystal has been practicing massage therapy for 10 years in California and Wyoming. Crystal’s mission is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal wellness. A firm believer in the inseparable connection between body/mind, Crystal is a proponent of massage for relieving physical as well as emotional stress, and strongly believes in massage as a viable modality for enhancing overall health and well-being.
